After scanning your computer, without any way of filtering the amount of disks/volumes (1st BIG problem), you get track list sorted by track name. This track list has Title, Album, Artist, File location columns. 2nd BIG problem : No creation date, no last update date, no file size, no music quality informations The track list cannot be sorted by any other column (3rd BIG problem) Explanations : During years I made several copies of my music library and continued to add music in the latest « version » Now that I reinstalled a new machine with a 3Tb HDD, I discover that I have up to 4 versions of the same track, sometimes with updated tags, sometimes not. Having a list of 90000 tracks without any way to sort out by folders to select 10000 tracks in one shot, it will take me days to sort out this mess Appart of consolidate the whole bunch of music in one folder, I may be able to look at duplicates. Silly ! why should I duplicate 250Gb of music somewhere ? The « search for duplicate » displays more details in more columns but it is also impossible to sort out by other columns that the track name. Conclusion, in my particular case, this tool isn’t 20€ worth.

I dont know why some people are having problems....I love this app...I always look for dupes in my music and it was a pain. Works great for me. Very cool.

I have over 40k songs with lots of duplicates because of different formats or same song, different album. This tool worked like a charm. It took quite a while to scan my 40k songs but most importantly, the duplicates are well organized. Its easy to view the duplicates, make changes and ultimately, delete or backup the dupes.

Best $20 I ever spent

Does not find tjhe xxxx 1.mp3 files AT ALL! Identifies missing files incorrectly total waste of money Wish I could undo the purchase

This app is not automated like it should be. You have to manually select each item to delete. The show duplicate items in iTunes does a better job. Save your money and use show duplicate items or use the option key when selecting show duplicate items and show exact duplicate items and delete away.

Not sure what the nay sayers are on about. In my experience it worked as expected.

Just bought a new MacBook Pro. After transfer all my tunes over, my 6000+ songs ended up being over 105,000 songs. Talking about a lot of duplicates. Anyways, downloaded this app, and all it does is lock-up. Their support says that it’s due to the number of songs. They will not refund my money. RIP-OFF APP.! WASTE OF MONEY! If you have a large library, DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

This product is good and does whats said, but the price should be cheaper. ちょっと、値段が高いのであまりオススメは出来ませんね It is maybe better to find some serial cracked software. リップバージョンをネットで探した方がいいかもしれませんw

This doesn’t do a fraction of what it promise.

This is a decent application. After condensing many different drives and disks into a 60gb lump on one Macbook (before sending to Match) I had some concerns about finding dupes and broken links, etc. A friend pointed me to this software and it made some otherwise tedious work - very easy, and very fast. Having confidence in an app is key and after running this about 40 times over the last few days - I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.

I was going to use this on an older macbook pro that is running 10.6.8, but it doesnt work on anything less than 10.7 as per the freeware version. I guess I should have tried that version first. Ahem.

Had several hundred songs on my desktop to be added to iTunes without duplicating what may already be in the library… It didnt see any of them so chose to manually add them and then check for duplicates. Wish I could submit screen shots that would show Tune Sweeper finding 30 duplicates and when running iTunes Show Duplicates found over 200. TS would be worth the fee if it worked but clearly doesnt work as advertised and should be a free app at best. Check for yourself. Run TS to find duplicates and then run iTunes Show Duplicates.

I knew I had a ton of duplicates, but I didnt know how many. This program took an entire night to clear almost all of them. I still went over my iTunes files to find copies and I only saw a few which makes me wonder why the program seems to miss these every now and then. But other than that, it does a good job of recognizing duplicates, and with the specific query the user can select of details (Live vs. Studio recordings, time of track, etc.) it does well to weed-out copies with these details selected, and this makes a huge difference. If I could only figure-out why Mac makes copies of the same tracks, I wouldnt have this problem. But by the looks of it, Im not the only one who has this problem--and thats reassuring. I would highly recommend this program. Like I said, its well worth the money.

It finds my dupes, and then when I try and remove them all it does is crash. Dont waste your money. This app is junk.

It does find the dupes, but when trying to remove the duplicates, it reliable crashes. Not impressed. This product is not currently in a usable state.

I had thousands of duplicates and didnt want to spend hours finding, clicking and deleting. This did it all for me. Some of the older reviews stated that this program doesnt delete dupes without prompting for each but that wasnt the case in this new version. I would have given it 5 stars but it was an extremely slow delete process even though I have SSD and Thunderbolt drives. I do recommend this over the $40 a year program..
