Impossibly Slow

So far it appears that everything should be working well, but it doesn’t. Despite the fact that I have a brand new MBP with all the bells and whistles (15”, I7, 16gb, etc..) the program has had two full days to find and erase the files and has not done so. It tries to do it repeatedly but nothing happens, no changes to my library just an unmoving status bar.
